Desert Sun

The digital painting that adorns this mask is an homage to my childhood memories of traveling (by car), from California to South Carolina. My father was a Marine, so our large family with six children, traveled often. I especially remember how we stopped at the battlefield where Native American Geronimo, (my father's hero), surrendered. We took a family portrait at the monument, and I remember how brightly the sun shone.
