Zippo® lighters are made of a high-quality brass which is then dipped in nickel. When you design your own lighter online, we print your design onto the personalized lighter with photo using a specialist metal ink transfer application process. The image is printed in a way that it doesn't quite meet the edges of the customizable lighter, this is done intentionally to give you a classic border around your print, and to stop any bleed over the edges. Our printing techniques and methods are scratch-resistant, meaning your personalized lighter can withstand wear and tear, as well as most pocket abuse. Avoid dropping the custom-made lighter from a height and scratching with sharp objects.
Please note: When you design your own lighter, any white spaces on your design will be unprinted. The custom-printed lighter, however, will be sprayed white on the printable side. Print covers the entire front of the photo lighter and can bleed slightly onto the sides.

When creating your design, remember that there is an opening for the lid of the custom-made lighter, so it can be flipped up. Although this will not impact the look of your print, it is worth keeping an eye on your final design to make sure you are happy with where the opening line on the custom-made lighter is.
