How your Skirt Works

To design your own skirt online, it really couldn't be simpler. This skirt is so customizable that you'll end up with a unique skirt that is personalized exactly as you want it. As all of your products are handmade to order, no two garments are ever the same, as a result of this please be aware that all measurements are approximates.

Step One: Choose your size
This skirt is available in a range of sizes from XXS to 4XL. Unsure which size you'd need? Our design tool gives UK sizing for each, and we also have a handy measurement checker too which gives you not only the measurements in centimeters and inches, but UK, EU, Italy and DE sizes. 
 

Step Two: Choose your length
These custom made skirts are available in a mini, midi or maxi length. Each style has a 1.37" elasticated belt, with a drawstring detail. The mini is 14.17" from the bottom of the belt to the bottom of the skirt, the midi is 23.22" and the maxi 37.8", again from the base of the belt to the bottom of the skirt. The drawstring detailing is approximately 11.02" from the point where it protrudes the belt to the end of the toggle.

Step Three: Pick your fabric
When you design your own skirt online using our design tool, you can choose the fabric that your flared skirt is made from. Butterfly Smooth Crepe is a lightweight material, with a subtle crepe sheen which has been expertly selected to suit the floaty design of this skirt. Mulmul Soft Muslin is a super-soft lightweight net material with a naturally loose yarn which gives a slightly rustic look to your skirt adding to its natural charm. 

Step Four: Decide on your trim option
Each of our custom made skirts comes with a 1.37" elasticated belt waistline, a 13.38" underskirt lining, an 11.02" drawstring (on each side) from the skirt's belt to the end of the toggle. This is made from Silk Sensation fabric, which is a satin faced material that feels very soft against your skin. This trim detailing can be either in black or in white, depending on what you choose in the online design tool. The drawstring detailing is beautifully finished with a silver colored toggle, 0.59" in length with a diameter of 0.19" at the bottom and a tapered top. 

Step Five: Create your own skirt
You can choose whether to add a label - which you get to design - or not when you create your own skirt in our design tool, and then its time to upload your images and use the intuitive design your own skirt online tool to truly customize your skirt. You can view the front, back and label (if you chose one) separately, and using the design view you can see what it looks like when it's on the skirt itself. It really is as easy as that. 

What my Skirt Will Look Like

Depending on the material you choose when you design your own skirt, it will either have a slightly sheer, almost transparent look, or it will have a subtle, crepe sheen to it. Both materials will give your skirt a wonderful airy flare. Mulmul Soft Muslin is a lightweight material that has a net-like construction. This creates a perfect, summery style floatiness to your custom made skirts. The Mulmul Soft Muslin material gives your skirt a slightly rustic look. Butterfly Smooth Crepe is a slightly heavier material, however still lightweight. This means that it loses transparency while remaining perfect for floaty garments. It has a subtle crepe sheen to it and a soft, smooth texture. Due to the delicate nature of the MulMul Soft Muslin fabric, some pulls are to be expected and this is not out of the ordinary.

The lining, belt and drawstring detail are made from Silk Sensation fabric. This is super-soft, lightweight and has a satin face that feels amazing against your skin. The underskirt lining is 13.38", and is the same length across all three ladies skirts. The elasticated waistband is 1.37" - again, the same across all 3 skirt styles - and all length measurements are taken from the bottom of the belt (so for total length top to bottom, add 1.37" to each). 

The drawstring from skirt to end of toggle is 11.02", and is a detailing drawstring, which means that it doesn't go all the way around the waistline, just the front couple of inches. The silver colored toggle at the end is 0.59" long, and the diameter around the bottom is 0.19". The toggle tapers toward the top and compliments the detailing. The custom made skirts have a neat pin hem finish to give an elegant touch.
