We offer two finishes for your custom tealight holders which will determine the overall aesthetic and look of your photos. One option is the frosted matte finish, which keeps the glass slightly translucent. This means you'll be able to see the flames flicker through the glass, and the light will reflect on the surface around the candle. The colors in your photo will be more subtle because the glass will be a bit transparent. The other option has a matte white backing, so your photos and candle holders will be opaque. The colors in your photo will be vibrant, and the light from the flame will be directed out of the top of the candle holder. Both options will help to create a lovely atmosphere, so choose whichever finish suits you best.

Your personalized tea light candle holders are custom printed to order. Our specialist printing process ensures your photos resist fading over time, giving your personalized photo gift a long life.
The design is wrapped around the body of the votive, which displays differently depending on the options that you choose. For the tapered glass option, there is a neat join to your photo. This will not be pattern matched but will leave no gap. If you opt for the round glass tealight holder then there will be a slightly feathered seam. This blends both ends of the image together. You will need to ensure that the main part of your image is front and center, due to the bulbous shape of this style there will be some image stretch toward the end of the photo.
When you order glass tealight holders you will not only get a choice of two different shapes, but also two different finishes. Bear in mind that when we print, our digital methods don't use white ink. This means that if you have white in your design it will be left unprinted. Should you want to have white in your photo or design, then you will need to choose the white-coated option.
Care: As with all candles and naked flames, our custom candle holders need special care and attention when lit. Use a heatproof surface to avoid damage. Keep well away from flammable materials as well as children and pets. Try to avoid moving the holder when lit to prevent accidents. The holders may get hot as the candle burns, so always be cautious before touching them. Dish wash on low temp below 86°F or wash by hand.
The printable area is a strip that's wrapped around the photo candle holder, so we suggest choosing a large photo that you can then move around in our design tool to get the features you want in the frame. You can also add several photos; simply make them into small squares and position them side by side for a cute photo montage. A short but sweet message such as 'Merry Christmas Everyone' or 'Relaxing Soothes the Soul' looks très chic. Add your text, choose the font, color and adjust it to size so it fits within the frame.
